 Duties:

Waste monitoring and management.

Separation at the source and disposal of normal, infectious, and sharp, pharmaceutical, chemical and radioactive wastes based on the rules of the Law on Rarefaction of Wastes.

Compliance with color coding and labeling.

Prohibition of medical waste recycling according to the law of waste management in hospitals.

Completing and registering the declaration of decontamination of all types of infectious and sharp waste.

Evaluation of the performance of waste sterilizing devices in terms of microbiological, mechanical and chemical according to the rules of waste management law.

Developing an operational plan for medical waste management.
