Angioplasty
A non-surgical procedure that requires no incision on the chest and involves minimal invasion. Angioplasty is used to treat narrowing and blockages of blood vessels. In cases of severe blockages, a surgeon may opt for open-heart surgery instead of angioplasty or stenting. Angioplasty is usually performed with local anesthesia or mild sedation, so the patient is awake during the procedure.
Symptoms: Chest pain, severe coronary artery disease in symptomatic patients
Procedure: A special balloon is temporarily placed at the site of the blockage in the artery and inflated for a few seconds to open the vessel. After the procedure, the artery remains open, and to prevent re-occlusion, a stent is often placed permanently at the site of the blockage.
Stay in Iran: 5 to 7 days
Hospital Stay: 2 to 3 days
Full Recovery Time: Maximum 1 week
Return to Work: Maximum 1 week
Surgery Duration: 30 to 45 minutes
Anesthesia Type: Local anesthesia
Price: $1000

Single Vessel Coronary Angioplasty
A non-surgical procedure that requires no incision on the chest and involves minimal invasion. Angioplasty is used to treat narrowing and blockages of a single coronary artery. In severe cases of blockage, open-heart surgery may be recommended instead of angioplasty or stenting.
Symptoms: Chest pain (angina), severe narrowing of one coronary artery, history of heart attack in symptomatic patients.
Procedure: A special balloon is temporarily placed at the site of the blockage in the artery and inflated for a few seconds to open the vessel. To prevent re-occlusion, a stent is often placed permanently at the site of the blockage.
Stay in Iran: 5 to 7 days
Hospital Stay: 2 to 3 days
Full Recovery Time: Maximum 1 week
Return to Work: Maximum 1 week
Surgery Duration: 30 to 45 minutes
Anesthesia Type: Local anesthesia
Price: $1500

Coronary Angioplasty for Any Additional Vessel
A continuation of the angioplasty procedure when more than one coronary artery is narrowed or blocked. This intervention is performed for each additional artery requiring treatment.
Symptoms: Multiple blocked coronary arteries, recurrent chest pain, severe angina.
Procedure: Similar to single vessel angioplasty, a balloon is inflated at the blockage site of the additional artery, and a stent is placed to maintain blood flow and reduce the risk of re-blockage.
Stay in Iran: 6 to 8 days
Hospital Stay: 2 to 3 days
Full Recovery Time: Maximum 1 week
Return to Work: Maximum 1 week
Surgery Duration: 30 to 45 minutes per additional vessel
Anesthesia Type: Local anesthesia
Price: $900 (per additional vessel)

Peripheral Angiography
A non-surgical diagnostic procedure to examine blood flow in arteries outside the heart, such as in the legs, arms, or kidneys. It helps in the early detection and treatment planning of peripheral artery disease.
Symptoms: Leg pain while walking (claudication), suspected peripheral artery disease, weak or absent pulses in limbs.
Procedure: A catheter is inserted into the artery, and contrast dye is injected to make the peripheral vessels visible under X-ray. This helps detect narrowing, blockages, or abnormalities in peripheral circulation.
Stay in Iran: 4 to 6 days
Hospital Stay: 1 to 2 days
Full Recovery Time: 2 to 3 days
Return to Work: 3 to 4 days
Surgery Duration: 30 to 60 minutes

Rhinoplasty
Rhinoplasty, or nose reshaping surgery, is one of the most common plastic surgeries. Some individuals are dissatisfied with the size or appearance of their nose. Because the nose is centrally located on the face, it is the most important factor in facial balance. Many people choose rhinoplasty to create better harmony in their facial features. Besides aesthetic use, rhinoplasty is also performed to treat breathing problems and other disorders. Those who need surgery for medical reasons typically do so due to nasal airway blockage caused by fractures or congenital issues.
Method: After an initial consultation and necessary diagnostic procedures, the patient is admitted to the surgical ward and undergoes the procedure under the care of a plastic surgeon or ENT specialist. The primary goal of cosmetic nose surgery is to improve appearance. If the patient suffers from a deviated septum, the septum will be corrected either simultaneously with or before the cosmetic surgery. During rhinoplasty, issues like a wide nose, a deviated septum, or asymmetry can be addressed. While surgical techniques have greatly advanced, there are limitations to what can be achieved. The outcome depends on the size of the nose, the skin condition, and the patient's age.
Duration of Stay in Iran: 7 to 10 days (if a second visa is required, up to 2 weeks)
Hospital Stay: Initial consultation at the plastic surgery or ENT clinic + 2 days hospitalization in the surgical ward + follow-up visit one week after surgery at the clinic

Nasolacrimal System Surgery
Nasolacrimal duct obstruction causes chronic tearing and recurrent eye infections, significantly impacting quality of life. Surgery is the standard treatment when conservative methods fail.
Method: The surgery is performed to restore normal tear drainage. The most common procedure is dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR), in which a new passage is created from the lacrimal sac into the nasal cavity, either through an external incision or endoscopically. The goal is to bypass the blocked duct and allow tears to drain properly into the nose. Stents or silicone tubes may be placed temporarily to keep the new passage open during healing.
Duration of Stay in Iran: 7–10 days (to allow for consultation, surgery, and follow-up removal of dressings or stents)
Hospital Stay: 1–2 days in the surgical ward
Full Recovery Time: 2–3 weeks, with improvement in tearing usually seen within days
Return to Work: 1–2 weeks after surgery
Surgery Duration: 1–2 hours
Anesthesia Type: General anesthesia (local anesthesia may be an option for selected adults)

Tympanoplasty
Tympanoplasty is a surgical operation to repair a perforated eardrum and restore hearing in patients with chronic ear problems. It may also involve reconstruction of the ossicles (the tiny bones of the middle ear) if they are damaged. This surgery prevents repeated ear infections, reduces discharge, and significantly improves hearing.
Method: The surgeon performs the operation under a microscope for precision. A graft, often taken from the patient’s own tissue (such as fascia from behind the ear), is used to close the hole in the eardrum. If the ossicles are eroded or damaged, they may be reconstructed or replaced with prosthetic materials. The surgery is performed through the ear canal or a small incision behind the ear. After the procedure, the ear is packed with special material to support healing, which is removed in follow-up visits.
Duration of Stay in Iran: 7–10 days (includes pre-op assessment and post-op checkup)
Hospital Stay: 1–2 days
Full Recovery Time: 4–6 weeks (hearing improvement may continue gradually for up to 3 months)
Return to Work: 2–3 weeks after surgery
